On 27 December, we carried out a rescue of four young boys from a restaurant. Two further boys were rescued from a balloon factory the next day. Those boys were also very young, and from very poor families. They were made to blow up balloons with helium gas canisters all day long, every day.
All six of the rescued children are being looked after in our safe house. We are assessing their needs and caring for them.
These rescues were carried out with the full support of the local police and social welfare authorities, following a large, multi-agency planning meeting.
We will update our supporters with news as to how the boys are getting on as we receive it from staff in Nepal.
